DevOps Automation Engineer - IBM uBuild/uDeploy -> Jenkins/Ansible Horizon L4 Support -> Senior DevAfter 2 years of L4 Support I assisted the myhorizon application to onboard projects and repos with the ability to modify repos for Horizon bitbucket, jenkins, confluence, jira, sonar, distribution, master control ansible, XLR and GES - BofA's method of access. This included angular2, python development and went live April 2022. After 4 years of supporting IBM UrbanCode uBuild/uDeploy support of 1000 deployable applications and +10,000 environments and 5500 components, BofA has moved to a new platform called Horizon. This environment includes the following technologies for build and deploy: Jira/Confluence, Bitbucket, Cloudbees Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible Tower and XLR. This also includes CI/CD support of Sonarqube, Nuget, Npm, Maven, Ivy repos. My role is level 4 enterprise support with primarily the new platform "Horizon" and Lead for legacy Urban Build/Deploy including development/testing/implementation of installation of development tools.Recent accomplishments include full SDLC, including writing and testing the ansible templates and playbooks of latest python3, msbuild, nuget configuration, nodejs, IIB Toolkits onto Jenkins OpenShift, Dedicated and Shared build agents using self developed/tested Ansible playbooks on BitBucket used by Ansible Templates, Inventory, Credentials and Projects as an enterprise admin. Targeted platforms such as Windows and Linux.Integrated the IIB Toolkit with a dependency on a GUI, I used my previous experience in tools such as C/Unix/bash, autoconf, automake and m4 to rebuild a version of Xvfb to allow the IIB Toolkit to run on Jenkins agents.With a special interest of microservices, I have created a fork of Hydra-router. This fork not only displays a web gui of all mircroservices servers for redundancy, but allows an interactive list of routes advertised as clickable links to test the microservices in real time.

Developed Volcker reporting system for daily delivery of Volcker Rule Risk Measurements such as VaR, StressVar and Portfolio Limits. This system is being developed in multiple phases where I was the initial developer to design and implement the framework and first production releases. The 1st phase for which I was responsible for provided Portfolio Limits and Values Var, StressVar, DV01 and IR01. These are on target for a delivery date of Oct 30, 2013.This shop uses TDD with extensive Junit4 test and Sonar for coverage, style and bug detection. The database and platform of choice is Windows and MSSQL for both configuration and persistence of data objects used by various application used for Risk System. The framework I have designed included database configuration (which was a requirement for convenient RFC/breakglass changes) and uses a generic factory factory developed in Java to inject configuration specified classes implementing simple interfaces allowing for safe and easy additions in the event the Volcker rules change or expand.

Designed and Developed ASP .Net MVC Web Site from scratch for Enterprise Stress Testing. This web site was used to upload/import various economic scenario data to a MSSQL server.The application used Spring IoC/DI to create instances of objects implementing interfaces to perform each step of the upload. Database access was performed with IGenericRepository initially implemented with Microsoft Enterprise Data for rapid prototyping. Used in-house repository implementations with a DAO layer implemented with System.Data and LINQ for application access. Used Nhibernate for implentation of a Security Layer. Enterprise Logging Blocks were used to perform logging for this website and the WinForms based legacy app known as PALMS.

Designed and Developed Reuters RealTime equities feed using Visual Studio 9 in multi-threaded C++ (x64) with some C# Runtime Interop to replace existing DTN as primary real time feed for over 8000 stocks and indices feeding over 30000 customers worldwide.This multi-threaded feed handler and tape writer/normalizer is capable of persisting 2.5 million trades and quotes per second allowing any number of processes and threads to simultaneously read asynchronously the normalized tape. Due to performance constraints, native C++ was chosen to deliver the maximum performance on x64 class hardware.In addition to performance, fault tolerance and real-time fail over was designed into the application using DTN as a backup data source. Tasked with raw loading, normalizing and consolidation of Bloomberg Equities (Backoffice), Muniview Municipals, EJV_NEWCMO (EJC) Structured Products, EJV Debts and Reuters Datascope feeds into Sybase RDBMS for the purpose of company wide reference data. Assisted FTID/SIRS and EJV-MORT (EJM) loads. I have obtained a strong working knowledge of Formula Engine code and primary Asset-Control utilities (ac_bl, ac_evalform, etc..). Familiarity with asset-control data model and java API. This process produced a gold copy reference for Wachovia Securities.Also implemented Regulatory and User driven back office services for the trading desk platform for various asset classes using Java, C++ and Perl on Sun servers. Maintenance of the back end software used to obtain and store pricing for the full range fixed-income and Equity products. MBS, ABS, CDO, Structured Products. This system is comprised of C++ and Java generated binaries with backend perl and bash scripts. Also implemented various messaging changes to Phase3 (Sun Guard).This experience has enhanced my skills and knowledge of trading systems, Fixed income products and Equities from a data model perspective. This also gave me a in-depth working knowledge of Asset Control Software, Formula Engine coding and the ability to provide any company with reference data using this 3rd party product.

Oscar is a native Win32 C++/MFC/Stingray application developed in MS Visual Studio .Net 2005. This financial application is used to structure and perform analytics of bond securitization deals using a scripted waterfall of cash flows into a set of bonds with varying levels of risk and return for large investors. The application is used primarily in the ABS, RMBS, CMBS sectors with typical deals in the billion dollar range. Developed a Ruby on Rails Web2.0/AJAX Catalog Web Application running on Apache2.2's load balancing proxy assigned to a pack of mongrel servers. Using the acts_as_ferret gem for database independent searching and field sorting. This application was initially setup with the railsmachine gem and is deployed using the capistrano gem in preparation for deployment to fully fault tolerant MySQL clusters.Also developed a ruby-C extension to retrieve broker real-time streaming quotes and combined with Juggernaut (rails gem plugin) to send these to a web page using push technology in combination with a simple Rails portfolio manager.

Development, in a team environment, of next-generation check processing application suite using multi-threaded C++, CORBA with multi-platform Qt (Linux, Windows) framework. Primary database interface for these applications required SQL for DB2. This system communicated with IBM and NCR check sorters with various OCR technologies to produce a streamlined and customized interface for all aspects of check processing.

Primary work was the continuing development of the WinCue/QSeries TV/News Application using Visual C++ in a team environment. Enhanced modules such as the Automation Control Center, Device Controller (Video Server and Character Generator drivers). Secondary tasks included data conversion from legacy (DCM, OpenMedia, ADP) systems to the QSeries system as well as maintenance of all DCM (Legacy) software which included the web customizations, machine control of various devices. Additional tasks were Administration of the in-house Windows2k/Linux network including DHCP, DNS, Sendmail including SPAM filtering and remote access and remote access to servers using various VPN technologies. These tasks added thousands of dollars to the value of the new company's products plus facilitated the switch to the new systems. RedHat Sendmail/DNS/DHCP/NAT/Firewall Configuration provided only several hours of downtime for periodic maintenance and upgrades over a 7 year

Primary work included the conception, design, coding, implementation and support of company flagship product NewsTrac. I managed up to 3 programmers and 4 support staff members. NewsTrac, an Internet ready Win32 Client and SCO/Linux Server Application written in Visual C++ and MFC (Clients) with Linux/SCO (Servers) using C/C++/Perl used in over 150 newsrooms throughout the country. Java client also developed for remote access to application services. Third party databases, such as Oracle, MySQL also evaluated. This product produced the highest revenues of DCM and Autocue in the US to date. Secondary tasks included MS/UNIX System Integration and Network Administration + application support. Set up the in-house Windows/UNIX LAN to the Internet using Linux ipfwadm/ipchains/iptables. Also configured Company Web, SendMail, DHCP and DNS and access from remote locations. Solely responsible for all networking issues for 150 servers and over 50 NT Domain Intergrations via SAMBA, Internet Mail (SMTP/IMAP/POP3), DNS, DHCP and Web Server Integration sites. Developed the Current Temperature Module in Perl/CGI for business partner NewsRoom Solutions. Also developed Perl/CGI expense report used by staff members for travel accounting. MySQL used for back end database. Java used to create a JVM based Chyron CODI emulator. VB6 Used to prototype larger apps and also used implement smaller applications such as specific machine control.

Primary development tasks included development of the C library of common functions used by other programmers at the CDC, DBMS Engine development and Informix application development. Other assignments include UNIX System Administration and shell programming. Recommended, implemented and administered in-house TCP/IP LAN using Sun and PC Workstations with various UNIX servers. Developed and taught several courses, including MS-Windows and various UNIX utilities including grep, awk, sed with regular expressions . Assisted other system administrators during the distribution, test and implementation phases of applications developed by the Charlotte Development Center. DBMS engine development saved potentially millions for my employer. Other tasks saved time for other staff members and training costs for my employer.
