Responsible for leading a diverse range of services including refuse collection, recycling, disposal; street cleaning and grounds maintenance; parks and open spaces; cemetery and crematorium; contaminated land; air quality management; regeneration; asset management; property; facilities management; logistics; etc. Lead responsibility for the Councils two main partnership contracts for over £30 million of outsourced services. Leading major regeneration projects including £50 million Britwell regeneration; the creation of a new school in the old Town Hall; lead client for a quadrant of the £460 million Heart of Slough regeneration; etc. Leading the creation of a £500M Local Asset Backed Delivery Vehicle for Slough.

Advising AGMA on commercial opportunities available through improved procurement and income generation projects. Developed two income generation projects with the potential to secure in excess of £10M p.a. of new income and savings exceeding £20M.

Working with AGMA to deliver City Region ambitions for Transport through the creation of a "Transport for Greater Manchester" executive organisation. Key responsibilities: to develop strategic highway management; to directly manage the two AGMA transport shared service centres who manage all signals in Greater Manchester; transport modelling, data collection, surveys, analysis; & the Greater Manchester Road Safety Partnership.

Responsible for leading all regulatory, registration and security services for the Council. Lead council officer for Safes and Stronger Communities Board and chaired the partnership Tactical Commissioning Group.

Created the strategic response to lead the Council out of catastrophic turmoil following the issue of a Section 8 Public Interest Report and engagement with the DCLG. Developed a transformational change programme which redefined customer and overall service delivery through a new stratification plan, full organisational restructuring, introducing CRM techniques and software, integrated performance and asset management, etc.
