I was the IT Infrastructure Programme Lead for the Society’s two highest priority programmes, both of which were at the forefront of the Society’s cloud and DevOps strategies; Stronger Customer Authentication (SCA)– I was responsible for the implementation of all IT infrastructure across a programme to deliver a cloud-hosted SCA solution for the Digital platform. This included the implementation of App Dynamics analytical monitoring.Core Banking Platform Replacement – I led the planning of all IT Infrastructure work during the Feasibility and Definition phases for a programme to deliver a cloud hosted core banking solution. The role involved : - Leading the delivery of multiple workstreams using Agile and Waterfall methodologies - Co-ordination of all infrastructure work to align with multiple delivery teams through effective planning and dependency management - Defining and managing project budgets - Protecting delivery through effective Risk, Change and Dependency management - Engagement of impacted stakeholders at all levels of the organisation - Leading the Procurement process to select and contract with multiple 3rd party suppliers

In support of the Society's Digital strategy, I led the delivery of a greenfield middleware platform (implemented with IBM's IIB and Datapower products) to provide a consistent method of integration between internal systems and external partners. The project also implemented a SOA governance structure which has been adopted across all areas of the Society’s IT department and has set the standards for service development within the Society.I also established and ran a new scrum team developing low-level common services (e.g. error handling and alerting) on the new IIB/Datapower platforms to be available to other projects that deliver business capabilities. My most recent role at the Society was to lead the Initiation, Definition and planning of a £6M+ project to implement a cloud infrastructure capability in AWS and bring online two new co-location data centres.
