Benefitting from a background in accounting (CA), tax and law, I bring a multi-faceted skill-set and view point to ensure effective financial management and proactively improve organisational delivery and performance. By building sophisticated finance and corporate services functions that deliver transparency, control and insights, I work as a key partner to CEOs and executive teams, evaluating risks, benefits and opportunities while driving efficiencies and robust control. Able to adapt to new environments, synthesise complexity and high volumes of information to highlight a path forward, I apply broad, multi-sector experience and an understanding of the levers that drive performance to solve business problems and create solutions. Focusing on structure and control through reporting, systems and governance, I provide boards and CEOs with assurance in the integrity of financial data and key insights in its delivery to enhance executive decision-making. Critically, I understand the ingredients of successful system and process change and the challenges around effecting change, including the importance of clearly communicating the benefits to all stakeholders. I have demonstrated this clearly throughout my career, illustrated through delivery of key projects such as ERP/BI systems implementations, financial management system delivery and the professionalisation of corporate services teams and financial control capabilities. I may not be selected to open the batting for Australia but I am a thrilled to lead (as volunteer Treasurer and committee member) Gymea Bay Cricket Club, an organisation that provides anyone with the opportunity to play cricket in a welcoming environment.
