CurrentLed a team of ~90 software developers, product managers, business analysts and scrum masters building next generation digital infrastructure for capital markets. Designed and architected the entire TaxGrid product from the start. The application tracked cross-border dividend withholding taxes on publicly traded securities. Worked closely with major financial institutions in the US and Europe (global custodians, asset managers, withholding agents, CSDs), along with multiple tax authorities, to validate and test the solution. Led a nine-month multi-party decentralized trial and co-authored a 25-page public report issued jointly by twelve participating organizations. Then proceeded to create the production version for the European market with a major European partner.The system was the first practical application of tokenization using Zero Knowledge Proof (ZKP) technology for digital finance. A scaled-down version, using more conventional cloud-native technologies, was also successfully implemented. Awarded US Patent for the ZKP version.
