Systems Engineer Principal
CurrentProject Lead for Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope (RST) mission at NASA Katherine Johnson Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V). Prior to this position, was IV&V Project Lead for Europa Clipper and Parker Solar Probe (PSP) missions and IV&V Technical Lead for Magnetospheric Multiscale (MMS) mission. I have also performed and supported IV&V planning and analysis, while collaborating with team members on OSIRIS-REx, Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM), Juno, and Orion Spacecraft. Throughout my career at NASA IV&V, I have participated in technical discussions and workshops to share knowledge and collaborate on program and project improvement and growth opportunities. I have received multiple awards throughout my career including the first to receive the NASA IV&V Engineer of the year award. As a Project and Technical Lead, I planned, led, performed, and managed delegated full lifecycle IV&V analyses (concept, requirements, design, implementation, and test). I have used communication, collaboration, adaptability, patience, and mentoring skills and created a positive work environment to develop strong relationships with team members and customers. The IV&V Teams I have led have worked well together, collaborating to develop Technical References to develop an understanding of the systems, components, mission and functional behaviors and associated risks, which are utilized to perform value-added IV&V analyses that are defined with an appropriate scope and rigor. The IV&V Teams I have led follow guidance and processes to define and peer review issues that are communicated to the NASA Project POC and system, software or test leads with very high acceptance rate.
