My policy and program evaluation work is primarily in the areas of economic participation, education, social and emotional well-being, health and other initiatives for First Australians. I have authored numerous evaluation and review reports, including comprehensive evaluation frameworks and tailored methodologies. I have an extensive network of professional contacts throughout public and NGO agencies having at various times worked with the community, academic, public, private and philanthropic sectors. I have over thirty five years of continuous experience working with Aboriginal people. In 2007 I was a recipient of the Australiasian Evaluation Society’s ‘Evaluation Study Award’ in recognition of my professional contribution through the Evaluation of the Stronger Families and Communities Strategy. This award is made to a team of policy evaluators that has conducted an evaluation study that has made, or has the potential to make, a significant contribution to the practice or use of evaluation in either the public or private sector in Australasia.Past clients include Social Compass, the Health Department WA, Nyoongah Patrol Services, RMIT University, Gelganyem Trust, Family Planning WA, PRK Radio, Buurabalayji Thalanyji Aboriginal Corporation, Advanced Coaching Academy, Miriuwung Gajerrong Aboriginal Corporation, WA Aboriginal Lands Trust, Kimberley Foundation, Shire of Halls Creek, Shire of Mount Magnet, Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services Council,Smith Family, Wunan Foundation, South West Aboriginal Medical Service (SWAMS), Kimberley Development Commission, Paramount Projects and (currently) the Queensland Department of Communities, Children's Services and Disability Services (DCCSDS).I was a Company Director with Gumala Investments for twelve years, a Trust established for the benefit of native title holders in the Pilbara region. I have a particular interest in identifying, measuring and sustaining standards of good corporate governance.
