I am a passionate Materials Science Engineering graduate from North Carolina State University, who is driven to help revolutionize the power materials industry. My hands-on experience at the Corrosion and Advanced Materials Laboratory (CAML) and the Analytical Instrument Facility (AIF) has honed my expertise in materials characterization, corrosion testing, and data analysis. Under Dr. Rajeev Gupta at CAML, I conducted pioneering research on 316-L stainless steel corrosion passivation, exploring the impact of sample additives and 3D printing patterns. This experience equipped me with practical skills, fostering independence in a laboratory environment, and enhancing my critical thinking abilities.My work at AIF, led by Dr. Nina Balke, involves researching the electric double layer interaction between electrolyte and electrode, utilizing the Cypher AFM and writing Python code to process AFM readings into tangible data, such as force-distance curves. As an NCSU REU participant, I've undertaken an individual research project, further demonstrating my ability to innovate and contribute independently.My education has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of semiconductor materials, device fabrication, and power systems. I am adept at materials characterization and analysis, honing practical skills crucial for impactful contributions to the power electronics field.
