I am a 2020 graduate of the SUNY Old Westbury Public Health program, with a focus on Health Policy and Ethics. Prior to my time as a student I was subcontracted as a construction Laborer, and eventually Foreman on the 2012 U.S. Golf Open. Following the 2013 U.S. Open I transitioned into a customer service role in order to accommodate my school schedule and continue to work full time. My customer service experience began as a sales associate. I found my customer interactions and team camaraderie rewarding, I enjoy meeting and speaking with new people. During this time, I also worked to effectively streamline our freight processes to make things more time efficient and easier in the staff. It was then that I realized that I wanted to help solve inefficiencies in the business and give other employees tools to develop and grow. I took a chance and transitioned into a managerial role in my next position, quickly becoming one of the top selling employees as well as the manager responsible for talent development. Since then I have continued to learn, develop my skill set, and excel in subsequent roles.During my final semester I had the privilege to intern with the Concerned Coalition of Medical Professionals (CCMP) in Canarsie, Brooklyn. If there was ever a time that cemented my resolve that the pursuit of a career in a Healthcare was the correct choice for me, this was it. CCMP partners with physicians to provide individuals who cannot access insurance or medical care with no-cost individualized care. I am a passionate advocate of Universal Healthcare in the U.S. and have a strong desire to give back to my community.
