Born in Rochester , New York. I have had a long business career in computer technology.Companies for whom I have worked include,General Dynamics, IBM, Xerox, Container Corp of America, Sun Microsystems, SonicWall, Altera, Extreme Networks. I have and continue to advise and mentor.Last full time job was Executive Vice President Computer Systems at Sun. My responsibilities included all Systems business units, Sun Microelectronics, WWOPS and Chief Quality Officer. My last job at Xerox was Sr. VP Worldwide Marketing. Since leaving Sun I have served on public corporate Boards, These include SonicWall as Chairman; Altera as Chair of Compensation Committee, Nom Gov. and interim Board Chairman. I am currently Chairman of the Board of Extreme Networks.A significant portion of my time is also spent on non-profits and philanthropic work. For example: Indiana University Luddy college Shoemaker Innovation Center; Shoemaker Scholars Program; Kelley Business School Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship; Hanover College Business Scholars; Hanover College ShoeBox; UCSF prostate cancer outreach; Stanford University international graduate students; El Camino Health mental health fund raising; Pets in Need; Monterey Bay Aquarium; etc.I have two wonderful adult daughters and four terrific grand children. I love to read non-fiction books, garden, golf and I am a sports fan.
