Newport Biodiesel’s mission is to recycle New England’s used cooking oil into clean-burning fuel. By doing so, our region will benefit not only environmentally, but also economically. Every gallon we make is one less gallon of imported petroleum that will make its way to our shores. Newport Biodiesel had humble beginnings in a basement in 2006. Growing pains forced us to relocate, first to the Norman Bird Sanctuary, and then to our current home on Connell Highway. We were incorporated in 2012, welcoming shareholders, new employees, new technology, and new sources of funding. From a few guys in a basement experimenting with alternative fuel, to a 5 million gallon per year facility, our company’s success is the result of the hard work and dedication of the people involved.Newport Biodiesel is the most responsive and professional collection service in New England. We collect from over 4,000 restaurants and facilities and work with some of the largest restaurant groups in the region. Cape Cod Biofuels is committed to keeping Massachusetts green. We are the only ASTM-certified producer of biodiesel in Massachusetts, meaning our biofuel has passed all government fuel standards. There are no other licensed biodiesel companies in the Sate. We sell 100% of our biodiesel to Loud Fuel, located on Cape Cod. Loud Fuel then blends every gallon they sell of home heating oil, with our biodiesel. Our service and dependability is above all others. We currently service over 400 restaurant partners and 100% of all the grease we collect stays here in Massachusetts.
