I have been an over-the-road truck driver since late 2004, but decided in 2011 that I wanted a different career path with more challenge, opportunity, and potential for advancement. In an attempt to improve myself and my knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, I am currently attending the Mechatronics Academy program at Kalamazoo Valley Community College. In this program, I am studying the theory and principles of: electrical control systems, PLC programming and installation, AC drive programming and installation, hydraulics/pneumatics control systems, and troubleshooting of all systems mentioned. I am working with various equipment including Allen Bradley and Koyo PLCs. With my previous experience maintaining and repairing machines and my current training on more up-to-date systems and technology, I feel I have made a good choice. I will be graduating on August 15th with a solid grasp of the new skills I am learning. I am interested in working in Southwestern Michigan and will relocate within that area if necessary.
Listed skills include Manufacturing, Troubleshooting, Maintenance And Repair, Plc, and 17 others.
