Been offshore for 38 years now started off in catering as a steward then went into the drilling side worked my way to assistant derrickman, standing in as derrickman whenever asked. I then decided to have a change and trained as assistant crane operator and progressed from there.I also worked with Amec on Dunlin Alpha for a number of years as deckcrew, and deckforeman .I have vast experience working decks and cargo with cranes ,and supply vessels, helicopter operations to which i was an HLO . I have worked both on semi sunbmersible rigs and platforms. Now Employed with Enermech as a crane op having worked on numerous Platforms in the north sea including the Forties Alpha as core nightshift crane op to support drilling and Production. At present iam core nightshift crane op on Beryl Alpha platform to support drilling and production . Now retired .
