Furniture & Lighting Production Manager

- (Business sold during Covid)- Managed custom furniture projects for 4-5 star hotels, residential homes and restaurants. Client projects included Google, Hyatt, Marriott, Hilton, Carlyle Hotel NYC, Westin and others. - Navigated production order from obtaining accurate CAD drawings and construction, matching and ordering proper wood/metal/stone finishes, all while maintaining design intent. - Manage production timelines and properly notifying pricing team and client of cost adjustments due to design or factory revisions. - Manage production with overseas factories by negotiating timelines, ensuring accurate fabrication of items, navigating incoming raw materials, handling all open issues, QC and approving shipment vessels. - Work directly with freight forwarders on incoming/outgoing shipments and schedules in order to keep clients updated on all deliveries. - Overall, provided excellent customer service to clients and designers, providing weekly reports, managing their requests and overseeing all warranty and repair orders after furniture was installed.

- Design, handcraft and sell custom wood furniture. - Source wood mills and built multiple relationships with external sales teams, which resulted in lower lumber costs and reduced over all product cost by up to 20% within a year. - Provide in-home consulting and custom wood stain samples to help clients visualize how furniture fit within their home.

- Manage all areas of Development/Production for Women’s Outerwear, Suiting/Blazers, Bottoms and Leather garments. - Communicate daily with mills and oversea factories regarding open issues such as fabric/production minimums, style changes, tracking market and production samples, counter-source fabric and trims, approve fabric & garment quality tests, confirming bulk shipment of POs.- Negotiate discounts, analyze costing, manage fabric and trim liabilities.- Lead weekly cross functional meetings with designers, merchants, technical designers and production team to resolve outstanding issues inclusive of but not limited to development, costing, fit approvals and calendar deliveries for all departments.- Created multiple new Internal/CFT tools such as Costing Matrixes, Change Logs and Weekly Calendar Deliverables in order to capture and organize data, reduce emails, maximize communication and organization. - Manage request and approvals for l/dips, strike-offs, quilting & wash targets.- Source and work with trim vendors on timely and affordable development of custom zippers, buttons, draw chords, etc… - Supervise three Product Development Assistants in their daily tasks and help guide them through different challenges, while fostering professional growth and expanding their technical knowledge.

- Manage PD & Production for Men’s Bottoms/Denim and Outerwear from early line development to bulk production, ensuring target margins are met or exceeded while always ensuring on-time delivery. - Oversee communication with factories, mills and trim vendors pertaining to delivery of fabrics, protos, development trials and final goods based on T&A calendar. - Increased Bottoms IMU% from 75% in 2013 to 80% in 2015.- Manage all aspects of Made in America and overseas Denim production.- Develop new fabric qualities such as our core Denim and chino qualities amounting to over 300K in savings compared to previous core production lines.- Analyze and control all cost elements and TNA components. Examples: Set fabric target prices and l/time limits for designers, confirm fabric and garment transportation modes, calculate and negotiate costing and l/times with vendors. - Create, track and update TNA and WIP reports to ensure mills and factories are meeting deadlines from development to bulk shipment.- Lead weekly CFT meetings to tackle all issues and ensure all internal calendar deliverables are met. - Review and update TPs and BOMs in PLM and PDM, ensuring clear communication with vendors. - Develop new custom denim shanks, rivets, hangtags and labels per style.- Manage the classification of US tariffs/duty for all bottoms styles.- Issue and revise bulk POs in SAP and AS400. - Background in leather accessories including belts, wallets and bags.

- Manage PO issuance and revisions for Men’s Woven and Knit categories. Initially managed POs in AS400, Lead the transition into SAP across Men’s and Women’s teams by training colleagues and collaborating with management on best SOP.- Manage the classification of US Custom tariff codes for each Woven and Knit style, ensuring each factory/mill provides correct information in order to enter US & International Markets. - Attend fittings, take CFT notes, track samples and assist in timely approvals of all Shirting/Outerwear trims.- Confirm all bulk shipments with factories.
