John has the ability to make strategy tangible...Now I've got to try and stop writing in the third person.The truth is, my job as a Senior Bod is to make my boss look good. I often like to do this by creating the highest quality award winning work, delivered on time and on budget. Doing one of these things is easy. Doing all three is not, but I think I’m pretty good at it.In the design world, you can be either a creative or an implementer, but I don’t agree, as I do both. Funny that.I believe ‘A problem well stated is a problem half solved.’ Only a creative brief of absolute crystal clear clarity will result in truly great creative work. And the most important question to answer is, ‘What are we trying to get customers to do?’ Understanding this gets results.Brainstorming is usually a waste of time.I also believe that you’re only as good as your team, but ultimately you’re only as good as your client. So get your client onside, build a strong, open and honest relationship with them and let them know you care.Introverts are more creative than extroverts.From experience, the answer is usually on the first six sheets of paper.Two days spent forward planning can save you two months further down the line.
