The project consisted of a UNIX-based BasisPlus full-text database server and PC clients running Windows using Visual Basic and DAO.Designed and developed a client/server text retrieval system consisting of a multiplatform (VAX & UNIX) server for BasisPlus full-text databases and a Windows-based client. The system was implemented in Visual C++ using MFC; the communication protocol was TCP/IP using Windows Sockets. Specified, purchased, and configured PC LAN systems and networks for TCDI customers. Analyzed, specified, and evaluated a Network security system to provide C-2 level security in Novell Netware LAN environments. Designed and installed Netware and Windows For Workgroups LANs.
