- Managed the porting of 1200 customers’ mobile numbers and functionality from mobile phones onto blackberry devices. This included the design of the porting procedure, communicating porting procedure to customers, and the forecasting of future upgrade compatibility issues (Operating systems).- Assisted in the introduction of new IP conversion devices into the transmission network. This was the beginning of the conversion from the old SDH transmission towards newer and more cost effective IP transmission.

- Managed the upgrades of the National and International exchanges.- Prepared and communicated cost/benefit and technical presentations to senior management and operations. Managed communication channels throughout life-cycle of the projects.- Analysed, designed, managed and implemented all circuit moves from old switch to new switch in a live environment. This involved co-operation with transmission colleagues who put in place transmission requirements forecast for these projects.- Led the installation & testing of all new equipment in upgrade sites. This included the installation of power, air conditioning, transmission, O&M & IP connectivity, site security, cable and fibre management.- Co-managed with operations the development of new standard operating procedures for the introduction of the new equipment into the live operational environment. - Designed and managed (for both hardware and software) the life-cycle management process for the core switching network. This included the recovery and redeployment of equipment to safeguard service continuation before upgrades could be executed.- Represented eircom on the AXE and NGN User Forum, liaising with other international operators who use Ericsson AXE equipment for mutual benefit. This group included technical experts from Sweden, Denmark, Finland, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, UK, Australia, etc.- Managed the development of software requirements with a third party software developer for the eircom Transmission Network Administration System (TNAS). This database was the framework for all network (both transmission and switching) modelling and all equipment and circuits were managed using TNAS.- Analysed network wide and complex faults - lead engineer for Third Level support for the Ericsson AXE switching equipment.
