In March 2016 I was promoted to Senior Application Developer within the Web team at Capita Employee Solutions, a role which I still hold, now being the longest serving developer on the subsection of the team I work on (out of 10 people). After being promoted to Senior, I have continued developing the website the team is responsible for, but also have started developing my reputation as a specialist in my area within the wider business. My role as a mentor within the team has expanded, and I am now the first person people turn to for issues with my platform, both within and outside of the team. In recent times I have also started getting involved in management of the team, providing a technical perspective during interviews of candidates for the team, and acting as a deputy to the team leader when they are not available (though I have no desire to officially pursue HR or management, as I do not wish to step away from development.

I was promoted from Junior Application Developer to Application Developer in June 2014 at Capita Employee Solutions, having proved myself capable of performing my role well. In this role I began to develop my skills, and started to become something of an authority on the website that I develop. Other team members also began to depend on me for support during my time in this role, and I became something of a mentor figure within the team.

I became a Junior Application Developer at Capita after the three month probation period ended. My responsibilities in this role continued from my previous position as a Trainee Application Developer, maintaining and developing Capita's existing pensions website.
