I was responsible for planning and executing events, conducting check-ins, and aiding approximately 40 students each semester. Working collaboratively with a team of dedicated RAs, we organized both building-wide and individual events, creating a vibrant and engaging community for our residents. One of the unique aspects of this role was the responsibility of being on call at various times throughout the year. During these periods, RAs remained on-site, ready to address a range of student needs. This included assisting with facilities issues, addressing noise complaints, and providing support to students navigating personal difficulties related to college life. To manage this responsibility effectively, I had to schedule my on-call shifts, ensuring that they didn't interfere with my academic obligations and other responsibilities. Overall, serving as a Resident Assistant was a truly enriching experience. It allowed me to connect with and guide students in their personal and academic journeys, fostering personal growth and exploration of their interests and personalities.
