(Contract), DRS Technologies, Milwaukee, Wisconsin Naval Defense manufacturer.Boot and initialization of NXP (Freescale) QorIQ P1013 e500 core Power Architecture processor utilizing U-Boot based software to create a DRS proprietary BOOT, POST (Power-On-Self-Test) and Initialization for the cabinet control software for the MPD (Main Propulsion Drive) of the Ohio Replacement submarine.• Performed development of DRS proprietary Boot and system initialization based on U-Boot the Universal Boot Loader via NAND Flash and NOR Flash approach.• Performed investigation of Initialization and Power-On Test functions of the P1013 processor utilizing the P1022DS evaluation platform and Freescale CodeWarrior Development Studio. The testing was controlled via the serial interface of the evaluation board.

Cedar Rapids, Iowa Area

(Contract), Rockwell Collins, Cedar Rapids, Iowa Aerospace manufacturer.Input Signals Management (ISM) software completion and Verification Test Development for the Fly-By-Wire Primary Flight Control Computer (PFCC) utilizing PPC440 and the Cortex A8 processors for dissimilar hardware approaches within the Bombardier Aerospace CSeries development.• Performed Change Request modifications and additions to the ISM requirements and software of the PFCC system. Software modifications performed in Matlab/Simulink per the determined requirements changes and additions completed in DOORs.• Performed Python verification script testing via the PFCC Subsystem Pallet (PSuP) executing on the Fly-By-Wire Interface Simulator (FIS) which is a PC based full function interface simulator. The PSuP utilizes 3 PFCCs with all system communication interfaces active. ARINC 429 control surface actuators and sensors, TTP communication links between all three PFCCs contained in the triple redundant system.• CR tracking was performed in ClearQuest with the review process completed through the Peer Review Eclipse Plug-In (PREP) coupled with DOORs export data. Code generation completed within Matlab/Simulink with verification testing completed via Python scripting on the PSuPs.
