• Support design and development activities on VPS power supply products. Design activities include,• Build circuits on breadboards to test new electrical circuitries.• Perform electrical evaluation of products.• Collect and prepare data from a wide variety of experiments, electrical testing, and analytical evaluations.• Perform failure analysis using a variety of analytical techniques.• Process prototype kits for verification testing and design approval for the qualification of products.• Use technical skills in engineering analysis, coupled with technical skills in high frequency switch mode power supplies and topologies for power supply circuits / systems.• Evaluate electrical components and circuitry for use in complex power components.• Support sustaining engineering activities for the existing product lines.• Support existing product designs and customer interface with Sales and Applications Engineering.• Design elements include electrical design, component selection, simulation/test, PCB layout and assembly and product specification.• Develop product planning schedules, write test and qualifications plans and originate objective specifications.• Work closely with internal organizations to ensure smooth introduction and manufacture of highly reliable product.• Provide full product documentation, which includes bill of materials, test specifications and assembly and PC board drawings.

• Perform an electrical analysis on in house and RMA DC/DC and AC/DC power converter modules for the purpose of confirming and identifying the nature of a failure. • Perform a DPA destructive physical analysis on failed devices to determine the root cause of a failure mode for the purpose of effecting a corrective action. • Writes evaluation summaries on root cause finding that are transmitted to customer.

• Perform functional testing on DC/DC converter modules. • Troubleshooting to components level, repairs and reworks on modules that failed during testing and write a discrepancy reports on failed device. • Perform failure analysis, retest of each the failure has been corrected and work closely with engineers on prototypes on a daily basis.

• Provide constant technical support to production operators and supervisors• Responsible for generating metrics on equipment uptime, utilization and the overall performance of the work center as it relates to OEE.• Work to improve, debug and optimize machine programs, optimize the setups & change over and ensure full utilizing machine capacity.• Help development and improve the equipment maintenance documentation.• Provide support to the engineering manufacturing group and conduct tests to support department efforts to qualify new equipment/processes and verify functionality of existing equipment/processes.• Train and evaluate operators on process and equipment understanding.• Perform scheduled maintenance and unscheduled repairs on production equipment
