CurrentResponsible for specifying all PCB requirements, design guidelines, and overseeing DFM. Work with PCB suppliers to develop NPI and ensure quality and capabilities. Work internally with Sourcing, Quality, Reliability, Compliance, Manufacturing, and Sales to support all PCB issues.Detailed Summary:- Responsible for defining all PCB Design-Rules related to bare-board fabrication.- Review all new PCB designs.- Responsible for working with Vicor's PCB suppliers for NPI development of new PCB technologies and capabilities.- Responsible for defining cost drivers and cost impact for exotic requirements.- Responsible for cost reduction of PCBs.- Responsible for specifying all PCB requirements.- Responsible for managing all PCB DFM within Vicor.- Responsible for all technical interface with Vicor's PCB suppliers.- Responsible for technical coverage of all PCB Quality issues with both Vicor's PCB suppliers and Vicor's customers.- Responsible for presenting unique PCB requirements to Vicor's customers.- Responsible for supporting Vicor's Sustaining Engineering needs to ensure reliable PCBs.- Responsible for managing NPI quickturn programs with Vicor's PCB suppliers.- Responsible for identifying new PCB sources and ensuring all PCB families have 2 sources minimum.- Responsible for ensuring NDAs are in place with Vicor's PCB suppliers.- Responsible for identifying, developing, and procuring PCB materials to meet Vicor's performance and reliability requirements. - Support outsourcing for requirements used in PCB fabrication.- Support Compliance Engineering and ensure UL timelines.Achievements:- Identified need for unique x-out process @ AOI to ensure same-net shorts in windings are screened out.- Identified unique technology to enable a next generation of products. Co-owner of patent.- Identified and developed a unique surface-finish to enable a large cost-reduction for customer.- Developed test method for a unique process to screen out defects.
