Network Manager on UK Air Defence network. Juniper based data and Cisco based voice switches across a WAN network. Connecting UK and European radar and radio sites to deliver a command/control facility to Operators enabling UK military airspace surveillance. I have been deeply involved in the maintainer aspects of FAT/SAT testing of the new £40m Guardian system introduction. A heavily customer centric role; I delivered system availability to Air Operations and insisted on the highest standards from my personnel.

Managed all aspects of Station IT for 350 personnel including; account maintenance, upgrade preparation to Windows 7, Information Management and compliance.

Manager of a deployable (T101) Air Defence Radar. Responsible for a 10 man team; maintaining and regularly deploying 40 tonnes of equipment in 5 main elements to multiple UK sites. Deployed by air to Cyprus in 48 hrs to support Operation in Syria.

Instructor on Watchman Radar. Delivered a 6-week course as pre-employment training to military personnel; theory and practical tests were carried out to assure effective understanding. KLP's included 3-phase power distribution, HV generation using high current DC-AC inverters applied to a High Power Amplifier delivering RF pulses to the rotating antenna, The receiver chain including digitisation and signal processing prior to onward distribution to consoles within a Flight Safety critical environment.

Maintenance of airfield ground to air radios, Watchman Radar, Air Traffic tower communications equipment and landing aids used for training delivery to military students. Primarily employed on maintaining two Watchman radar systems which were intensely used for demonstrations and break/fix training.

Maintenance of airfield radios, Precision Approach Radar, Air Traffic Communications, Watchman and MSSR Radars in a Flight Safety critical environment.

Developed and delivered the maintainer course for the SA-6 SAM system. A largely valve based system, I transliterated complex Russian schematics and maintenance documentation to generate working diagrams and technical notes. I delivered the six week course solo, empowering technicians to maintain and operate the system against UK and allied flight crews.

Maintainer and operator of SA-6 Surface to Air radar equipment. I worked with US engineers to reverse engineer and exploit system capabilities in order to effectively train UK and allied aircrews on the electronic warfare range. I rapidly became SME on the system with particular skills in tuning the Moving Target Indication (MTI) and complex receiver and tracking systems.
