The Systems Management And Production Center, or SMAP, is a US government contractor through the University of Alabama in Huntsville. They have a multitude of classified projects they work on for the government and other clients as well.

Franklin Engineering Group (FEG) is an engineering consulting firm with a large variety of clients all over the world. They have mechanical, electrical, chemical, environmental, and other types of engineers working for them to assist in solving the wide range of problems that other engineering firms run into.My primary role at FEG was to create 3D models of parts and equipment in SolidWorks, as well as revising old models. I was also very involved in AutoCad during this time; I was tasked to update process flow diagrams (PFD's) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID's) in AutoCad paperspace so they would fit our clients' new needs. There were some other days where I would gather quotes for the necessary parts for said PFD's and P&ID's and list them in an Excel spreadsheet.I also had some field experience at my internship. I was assigned to visit one of our clients, a graphite plant in Kentucky, and scan both the inside and outside of the plant using a Leica laser scanner. I would then upload the scans onto a supercomputer with Cyclone Register 360 so we could then use it for 3D modelling.

I was part of Product Definition Team (PDT) of RSESC, which was contracted to Boeing at the Redstone Gateway. Our project was to assist the engineers contracted by NASA to design the EUS portion of the Artemis IV rocket.My main role at RSESC was completing datasets and other tasks for responsible engineers at Boeing. These datasets involved annotating parts and assemblies in Creo, creating files for them, and sending through our ADPM software. For another task, I was required to transfer properties from the EUS model in Creo and transfer them to an Excel spreadsheet for the Boeing engineers.

Aside from checking out customers, I was responsible for taking care of the animals we had in stock, which means feeding them, washing them, and changing their litter boxes. Being a keyholder meant I also had managerial duties, such as opening and/or closing the store, counting the safe at the beginning and/or end of the day, and making sure everyone else did their tasks before we closed the store.
