Involved in the change over of the control system for 2 Paper Machines and a Recycle Fibre Plant from Valmet Classic to Metso DNA . Liaising with the Project Management team, consultants and installation contractors to ensure a seamless start up.Also responsible for the site management, Health and Safety, planning and co-ordination on a variety of multi disciplined installations including demolition of a Wood Chip handling system and Dye Dosing system. Ensuring that contracts are delivered on time, safely and within budget to the clients design specification and current legislation. The work was varied and could involve inductions for new contractors, auditing and compiling of Method Statements and Risk Assessments, completion of Permits to Work, compiling instrument and electrical scopes of work for tender and tender comparisons, estimating costs and controlling budgets, contractor selection, overseeing installation on various sites including a waste paper handling system at News International print works, pre and final commissioning of process instrument and electrical equipment. Completion of As Built documentation for the client's records. Compiling of punch lists ( deficiencies ) and comparing these to the requirements of the contract.Contract Values £1000 - £80,000,000.
