I am Whitsons Culinary Group’s Chief Innovation Officer and I am responsible for our school nutrition division. My parents, Elmer and Gina Whitcomb, founded Whitsons in 1979 with the idea of establishing a family-owned business where the whole family could participate. Nowadays, more than thirty years later, we have grown to be the 4th largest school nutrition provider in the country and to have an extended family of over 3,000 members.

  As one of Whitsons’ founders and Chief Operations Officer, I oversee our School Nutrition division. I am proud to have established numerous nutrition initiatives that ensure our meals are healthy, nutritious and delicious. I have also spearheaded the creation of Whitsons’ “CFE” (Center for Excellence) account-level accreditation and reward program and “ACE” (Achiever of Culinary Excellence), our company’s four-year certificate program to recognize individual performance. We have also established a third-party audit program which allows us to serve more wholesome meals more effectively. Through all these initiatives, Whitsons continues to lead the industry with innovative culinary and nutrition awareness programs.We are proud to serve over 350,000 wholesome meals daily to school children and continue our company mission of “enhancing lives, one meal at a time.”
