Manufacturing experience began with adjusting mold-tools in a micro calibration lab at Ciba Vision USA. After one year of practical approach I was tasked with writing all of the department operations manuals and, re-writing the department's SOP's. I later transferred within Ciba Vision to polymer production. There I synthesized and distilled monomers for production use and, processed raw ingredients for filtration into our end product (internal customer).There I was also the safety coordinator and, wrote all department JSA's and PPE surveys and revised our SOP's. At this time I also served as an internal safety auditor throughout the site and became competent in FDA requirements and GMP effectiveness. This function also enabled opportunities to assess readiness factors for our team and, later achieving OSHA VPP Star status.I am now pursuing training through education and hands-on experience to develop my QMS knowledge having completed ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor training at Georgia Tech.Currently, I am working to simplify our QMS and safety program.
