My dissertation research began with performing CFD simulations on the coronary arteries and applying machine learning for both analysis of this data, as well as in exploring ways to generate faster solution results. Recently, I have began to shift the focus of my work to performing simulations of the front of the eye, with a specific focus on the thin film lipid layer to study the mechanics of dry eye.

Here my work consisted mostly of performing lab tests on process performance variables, as well as waste water treatment testing, I also helped to prepare for trials of a new grade and with chemical vendor transition. I was also able to participate in the annual production outage.

I worked in the Reliability Engineering department at the Maysville Mill. My work was primarily focused on improving documentation of reliability events as well as the creation of new-hire training to gear up for the upcoming GMS audit.

Performed research on creating simulations for advection-diffusion processes within Vuggy Porous Media. Work included writing simulations in Python to model events that consist of pure diffusion, pure advection, and advection-diffusion, then applying these models to velocity fields consistent with fractured heterogeneous media.

Performing research with Dr. Qiang Huang in the Electrochemical Engineering for Materials Laboratory. Specifically looking at the creation and fine tuning of Palladium-Zinc alloys through an electro co-deposition process, for possible use in catalysis of Ethanol oxidation within an EtOH/KOH solution.

Performed research with Dr. Mojdeh Rasoulzadeh on modeling bedrock erosion due to groundwater acidification, specifically the growth of vugs (large holes in porous bedrock). This work mostly consisted of working with the MOOSE C++ Framework in an effort to create simulations of bedrock erosion

I worked in the Manufacturing Excellence department at the Pine Hill Mill. My work mostly focused on developing cost savings calculations for projects in the Paper Machine area, as well as contacting vendors to obtain quotes, thus determining the viability of said projects. My work also included performing lab tests on process variables in the Power, Pulp, and OCC areas of the mill.
