Computational Fluid Dynamics and Machine LearningI am currently a PhD Candidate at the University of Louisville, where my research explores using various computational techniques, including CFD and AI to aid in medical research. When in my undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama, I struggled my first time using Matlab. With this in mind, I made it my mission to learn how to leverage computation. I first was able to learn skills in Python for analysis and visualization of Cyclic Voltametry and X-ray diffraction data in my undergraduate research on electrochemical materials. Then, I employed these skills, along with learning new ones to develop novel solution methods for the advection diffusion equation with my undergraduate research in the mathematics department. Finally, in my PhD research I have been able to learn advanced solution techniques for computational fluid dynamics simulations, along with becoming familiar with cutting edge deep learning research and libraries.
