Oversee all aspects of the universities athletic department.

Developed the University of the Incarnate Word's Athletic Department's strategic plan, for its transition from DII to DI.

General Motor created a multi billion dollar cost savings project and they were looking for non engineers to serve as program managers. My role is to manage a group of engineers, as we look at ways to save cost, but maintain the General Motors quality.

In December of 2011 my wife was recruited to serve as the Vice President for Patient Care at the Children's Hospital of Michigan, in Detroit. My wife moved for me several time during my coaching career and actually put her career on hold and took whatever nursing job was in the area where I was coaching. When this opportunity came available, we felt it was time for her to pursue her career. I stayed in Indiana with the kids until school finished and my oldest daughter graduated from high school in June of 2012. I resigned from the NCAA in June as well. We joined my wife in Michigan and made the decision that I would stay home with the kids the first year of school since we were in a new environment and we didn’t know very many people in the area. After the first year of school I went back to work. I went to work for Aerotek as a contractor for General Motors.

While at the NCAA I served in three capacities. I started as a Professional Development Coordinator for 2 years, then I move to the Championships and Alliance group as an Associate Director for 1 year and was promoted to Director for final 9 1/2 years. In my role as Director, I was responsible for multiple assignment. I was the manager of Division III Championships, which consist of more than 1000 institutions competing for 23 championship, with an operating budget of 15 million dollars. I was also responsible for hiring and supervising associate and assistant directors, coordinators, assistant coordinators and interns. Another role was managing individual championship events from ranking teams throughout the season, to selecting team and officials for the championship, to selecting sites for the event, to partnering with an institution and Local Organizing Committee to prepare for the event, to finally managing the actual event. Each event normally takes a year from start to finish, depending on the size of the event, some could take longer and some not as long. Another part of the job was serving as a liaison for committees, normally 3-4 each year, sometime more. There are several other areas that we dealt with, facilities management, signage, marketing , promotions, hospitality, compliance, public speaking, strategic planning, mentoring, lodging, transportation and customer service.
