My education began at the Overseas School of Colombo, Sri Lanka - www.osc.lk followed by five years at boarding school (Stonyhurst College) in England - www.stonyhurst.ac.ukFluent in French, at university, I followed a double degree program of King’s College, University of London and l’Université de Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne. I graduated in 1995 with an LL.B (Hons.) degree as well as a Maîtrise en droit privé mention droit français et anglais and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1996. I was admitted as an Attorney-at-Law and Notary Public, Colombo in 2000.I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb).I am also the Hony. Secretary and a Director of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Sri Lanka) branch.I act as:Official Lawyer of the Swiss Embassy, Colombo. Avocat Conseil of the French Embassy, Colombo.Trusted lawyer of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, Colombo.New Appointment : Official lawyer/counsel in Sri Lanka of the Embassy of Austria, New Delhi.I have advised various other embassies including the Australian High Commission and the French Embassy in regard to employment law matters and also advised the Embassy of the Netherlands in regard to various matters.
