Worked as a Senior Associate Consultant across various consulting projects within Telecommunications, Banking, Tax, Retail and Oil & Gas sectors:• Telecommunications: I was involved in a project that implemented a Go-to-market project for a major player in the South African Telecoms industry launch. Key responsibilities included product development and business process assessment and improvement • Telecommunications: I researched and consulted on a store footprint optimisation piece for the same South African Telecom company. I helped identify the ideal store locations and layouts • Oil & Gas: I was involved in a project that implemented a cost saving operations project with targeted savings of ~R450 million p.a. I led workshops within a working group to layout the maintenance processes and identify savings throughout the supply chain• Banking: Reviewed the African Medium-Term Projections and Targets for one of the Big 4 banks in South Africa. I developed independent financial models and performed various analysis to support the recommendations• Tax: I supported in a review of all potential tax opportunities for an African Tax institution. I led the investigation into HNWIs, Trusts and Penalty structures, looking to identify tax loopholes and ways to improve tax compliance• Customs and Excise: I consulted within a working group to setup and run a targeted intervention at an African port looking to quantify the risk of illegal and illicit goods entering the country• Retail: I performed initial analysis for a complete strategy turnaround of a large South African clothing retailer. I designed and implemented numerous forms of analysis and surveys and reported on the relevant market opportunities

Primary role as a development engineer, which included formal development projects associated with the control and automation of manned and unmanned aircraft. Involved in all phases of product development from conceptualization through to system certification. The work was primarily military specified and involved project and technical interaction with various clients as well as specialised algorithmic and software development.

Primary role as a research and development engineer, which involved industry research and prototype development. The work included the development of a prototype helicopter governor system that is now globally operational on three different types of helicopters under two different manufacturers. I also mentored and supported post-graduate engineering students.
