I will be taking an accademic appointment at ECU starting in July 2017. I will be practicing within the sub-specialty of Child Abuse Pediatrics esclusively. I have had the privilege and blessing to serve children and families in Fort Lauderdale for 30 years in primary pediatric practice, but this opportunity is something that I cannot resist.

I am delighted to announce that I have Co-Authored a book on Child Abuse that is intended for the general audience. I have discovered that many people do not have a clear understanding of the depth and scope of the problem of child abuse and feel powerless to help reduce the problem. There is also the phenomena of "Concept Creep" that has diluted the term to mean anything that some parents disagree with. This results in good people not helping to solve this big problem.
