As a dynamic, highly motivated practitioner, I am currently designing an alternative program for students that struggle to access the typical school curriculum. My objective is to ensure that students are confident individuals with a high sense of self-worth, resilient learners and good citizens.As the director of Curriculum, I am responsible for ‘Looked After Children’. I support our CLA students, holding weekly meetings with them, tracking data, including progress and attendance and liaise with virtual schools. I create bespoke action plans for each child, organising interventions such as 1:1 tutoring, counselling, mentoring and specialised timetables: reviewing their success each term. Effective communication with outside agencies such as social workers, Educational Psychologists, Targeted Education Services and the Virtual School are fundamental, so that our CLA students feel supported and are successful. I regularly inform all school staff, providing key updates and share strategic action points. As such, I am confident in my ability to lead staff and disseminate information in an effective and practical way that inspires action.I held the role of Director of Inclusion. Leading by example, I successfully engaged all stakeholders to implement and follow the school’s behavior, safeguarding and attendance policies, ensuring that students had the environment to excel and make progress, whilst empowering teachers to deliver high quality lessons and build excellent relationships with students. I have been a member of school senior leadership for 8 years. I have led all stake holders with passion, integrity, and clear purpose, allowing those within the school to prosper and make personal and academic progress. I lead by example and am a role model for practitioners and students. I work diligently within the leadership structure ensuring that organizational goals are met. I support and develop members of staff through coaching and additional training, giving them the confidence to deliver outstanding educational provision to young people. I pride myself on forging excellent relationships with all professionals including those who represent outside agencies. I enjoy creating a team ethos, fostering a proactive and positive approach. Professionals within my teams feel motivated, confident and have a feeling of self-worth, therefore operational goals are met. They also maintain the highest standards and produce successful outcomes.
