As a member of a 5-person legal practice specializing in medical malpractice, construction, oilfield and workplace injuries, and auto accidents, I am closely involved in all aspects of our cases. Responsible for developing case strategies, legal research, writing memoranda and demand letters, responding to and submitting discovery requests, intake of prospective clients, writing deposition questions and summarizing deposition testimony, negotiating with insurance companies, and managing trial exhibits, along with clerical duties. I am additionally responsible for maintaining the Firm’s social media profiles and writing content on the Firm’s website.

Supported the Legal Department in enforcing federal employment discrimination statues including, but not limited to, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, Equal Pay Act, Age Discrimination Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Responsible for conducting legal research, writing memoranda and defending against motions for summary judgement. Ancillary duties included, conducting intake of parties charging discrimination against their employers, preparing trial attorneys for witness interviews, and organizing documents for mediation sessions.

Responsible for generating new leads for financial services professional, implementing social media strategy, developing advertising campaigns and website administration. Designed and launched new website, created 3 new social media pages, earned recurring article in local magazine and began long-term print advertisement campaign.

Responsible for all communications activities of a $12.6 million dollar grant project including media relations, strategic guidance, development of PR and Marketing materials, video production, social media and working with agency leadership to promote positive relationships with all target publics. Successfully launched new website, increased social media followers by over 300%, produced 10 videos, secured media coverage in NBC’s Education Nation Summit, Education Week and The San Antonio Express News.

Generated leads for Territory Manager by meeting with student groups, exhibiting and posting flyers on campus.

Worked directly with Manger of Business Development to plan major events that enhanced member engagement and retention. Responsible for promoting chamber benefits and services, managing the membership database, creating online surveys, preparing reports for the Executive VP and Committee Chairs and photography.

Worked directly with the Senator’s Press Secretary to secure media coverage and respond to inquiries. Responsible for gathering data and statistics, drafting press releases, talking points and thank you cards, managing the Facebook account, maintaining media lists and documenting correspondence with constituents.
