As one of the first developers of the company, I have had the opportunityto take on different responsibilites as needed.- Setup and maintain our backend infrastructure running on Google Cloud Platform (App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Compute Engine, CloudSQL, Datastore). - Write Dockerfiles and docker-compose configuration for local development. - Manage Kubernetes Engine clusters, including performing upgrades. - Provisioning Compute Engine instances with Ansible. - Set up our CI build process (Jenkins). - Write SQL queries for generating reports- Lead the development team (4 people) - Responsible for overall design and architecture of our backend. - Responsible for overall design and architecture of our backend. - Teach my teammates how to use and work with Docker, docker-compose, Kubernetes, and Git. - Review Github pull requests from teammates.- Designed and implemented a bi-directional sync of our users’ CRM and Google calendar events. - The bi-directional sync process was designed from scratch due to the unique nature of the sync.- Provide guidance and technical support for our Customer Support team.- Communicate directly with customers to help debug issues or gather project specifications.

This was a fully remote position. One of the projects I worked on was a project management web app that integrated closely with Google Apps tools like Google Drive and Google Calendar. The team I worked with here eventually went on to create Collabspot.- Worked with a distributed team on various projects using Python and Google App Engine. - Using Google App Engine and Datastore allowed us to build rapidly without having to worry about dedicating resources to database and server management.- Integrated various Google services like Google Drive and Google Calendar. - We used Google’s OAuth to authenticate users with the service and to interact with users’ Google Drive and Calendar REST API’s.

- Maintained legacy systems built with Visual Basic 6, MS-SQL, and an ERP system called Made2Manage ERP- Introduced my team to version control (Mercurial). Prior to this, they did not use any kind ofversion control- Create, maintain and improve various software developed in-house
