John Franklin is a technologist and musical creative who loves the intersection of hardware and entertainment. He's currently pursuing his MBA at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.At Google, John helped lead the company's foldable phone program. After launching one of the first of its kind in 2023, he collaborated with engineering, marketing, UXR, legal, and partners to develop the product area. As a Product Manager, John was responsible for hardware definition, manufacturing execution, product story, and launch success.Prior to Product Management, John is a computer scientist with both industry and academic research experience. He's worked on entertainment projects that utilize AI and thoughtful human-computer interaction to deliver fun and engaging experiences. At Twitter, Disney, and Pixar, he focused on machine learning software and user experience. John graduated with two B.S. degrees in Computer Science and Computer Engineering from Northwestern University. He's also known for winning season 35 of CBS's "The Amazing Race". In his free time, he enjoys traveling, snowboarding, board games, and films.
