A seasoned financial advisor with considerable experience in distressed portfolio management, John Arvanitakis joined Fortivis in 2019. John previously served in relationship and project management roles at Piraeus Bank, where he led on multiple high-profile deals, working in close cooperation with global investment banks and legal counsel. During his five-year tenure with the bank, he managed a team of 5 officers, handled an NPL portfolio of €1.2 bn and implemented numerous NPE reduction strategies and restructuring initiatives, including Rehabilitation (Article 106b) and Special Administration agreements for several obligors, maximizing recovery values for the bank and its clients. Prior to this, John worked as a management consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) specializing in financial modelling. John gained a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the Athens University of Economics and Business and an M.Sc. in Finance (Hons). He is a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a CFA charterholder.
