The Director of Curriculum and Assessment will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experienceat North Side Community School. This individual will lead the development, implementation, andassessment of curriculum strategies to ensure high-quality education across all three campuses.Essential Functions:- Research, coordinate the selection, and lead implementation of a comprehensive curriculumthat aligns with state standards and educational best practices.- Lead the assessment and data analysis processes to measure student learning outcomes andinform instructional improvements.- Monitor Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education academic updates andinformation and identifying implications for local curriculum and assessment work.- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to design and implementeffective instructional strategies.- Provide leadership in the development and execution of all professional development programs foreducators.- Apply the core principles and functions of Professional LearningCommunities (PLC) and its relation to the MTSS (multi-tiered system of supports) process incoordination with the Director of Student Support Services.

- Be the day-to-day instructional leader of the school assisting with the vision for where the school needs to go academically, with collaboration, support, and guidance provided by the executive director. - In conjunction with the Instructional Coaches, provide leadership and modeling for teachers in instructional practice, including intervention and differentiation; backwards-designed unit and lesson planning processes; and data analysis cycles.- In conjunction with the Instructional Coaches lead professional development and team meetings based on teachers’ needs.- Serve as the school’s assessment coordinator, which includes management of NWEA MAP testing three times per year, state standardized assessments in the spring, and all other assessments based on grade level appropriateness.- Serve as the lead developer of the school’s Comprehensive School Improvement Plan- Analyze data on a regular basis to inform instructional decision-making and planning. Dataincludes interim assessment analysis from all courses, course pass rates, NWEA MAP data, andstandardized test data.
