Construction Management:Industrial Wastewater/Storm Water Upgrade, Amtrak Los Angeles Maintenance Yard, Los Angeles, CA: Construction Manager/Resident Engineer for construction of Amtrak’s improvements to their maintenance yard industrial wastewater and storm water systems to reduce storm water contribution to the industrial wastewater system. Construction included approximately 2,500 total linear feet of storm water and industrial wastewater pipelines, three lift stations, a storm water interceptor, retaining wall, and 12 railroad crossings. Mechanical Engineering:Regional Connector Transit Corridor Project, Los Angeles, CAThe scope of this $1.42 billion project includes the design of three new underground stations which will improve connections between light rail lines in downtown Los Angeles by connecting the Metro Gold, Blue and Exposition Lines. Johnathan’s project experience covers the Mechanical design (HVAC, Plumbing, and drainage calculations) for the Metro Regional connector transit corridor project. A 1.9-mile underground light-rail system connecting the Metro Gold Line to the 7th Street/Metro Center Station in downtown Los Angeles. There are three new stations which are being built. 1st /Central Station, 2nd /Broadway Station, and 2nd /Hope Station.Civil Engineering:California High-Speed Rail, Palmdale to Los Angeles Segment, California High-Speed Rail Authority (CAHSR), Los Angeles, CAMember of the civil design team developing the California high speed rail system between Palmdale and Los Angeles. Hired to orchestrate disaster recovery operations for over 1800 properties throughoutBirmingham, Alabama in the aftermath of the tornado outbreak of April 27, 2011. Developed, organized and maintained all Right of Entry (ROE) and Right of Entry - Demolition (ROE - D) operations for the City of Birmingham. Coordinated and advised representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Alabama Emergency Management Agency (AEMA) to facilitate the removal of hazardous debris and the demolition of eligible storm-damaged structures.Scheduled and managed the daily operations of nineteen disaster relief contractors and twenty-eight debris monitors. Evaluated the performance of the aforementioned parties and generated detailed reports of their progress and activity.
