I currently oversee the activities of field data collection and directly supervise an assigned team of Census field Managers, office support clerks, and field staff of 800 enumerators and supervisors.In addition, I manage group and individual training for field staff, monitor daily assignments and provide advise and guidance to subordinate staff.My work allows me to build effective working relationships with traditionally hard-to-enumerate populations or with specific populations indigenous to the area within the office boundaries. These boundaries include 14 counties in NE Kansas and 1 in Nebraska. I set team goals and monitor specific levels of quality and progress of field operations and ensure those goals are being met through analysis of various computer-generated reports and observation.I review and analyze cost, quality, and progress reports to assure operations are coordinated within prescribed time allocations and quality and cost-efficient standards.
