I am currently a Staff Sergeant in the US Army. I am a Electromagnetic Spectrum Manager. Where I’m responsible for the planning, coordinating, and managing use of the Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS) through operational, engineering, and administrative procedures. I maintain a database of frequency requests and assignments, perform periodic reviews and updates. I also resolve frequency interference reports and maintain a database of interference incidents. Also I prepare and forward properly formatted frequency requests to the appropriate federal, military, and civilian spectrum management agencies for coordination and approval, and maintain contact with them; perform frequency planning, selection, and deconfliction using automated tools spectrum analysis software; performs system field level maintenance on authorized signal equipment and associated electronic devices. Before I was a section sergeant for command post nodes where I manage 25 soldiers. We helped units get internet services when they are away from post by connecting to satellites and configuring network switches. I also worked at the Network Enterprise Center as a member of the networking and cable teams. Work experience I have is spectrum management as well as running an Help Desk, being an Telephone Control Officer and a member of a cable team. I also attended the Battlefield Spectrum Management course, CompTIA IT Fundamentals, BICSI DD102: Designing Telecommunications Distribution Systems and have my Fiber Optic Installer as well as my Fiber Optic Technician ETA certifications
