Upon graduation from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1989 & took a position on the staff of the Lucas County Auditor. Upon admittance to the Ohio bar, I was promoted to a Staff Attorney position. In 1993, I became General Counsel & a member of the Senior Advisory Staff. I spent 21 years in government, of which 16 were spent making high level legal and policy decisions. I reviewed multi-million dollar projects and contracts as well as handling day to day legal questions. I was intimately involved in lobbying efforts to promote or amend legislation at the state & local level.During my tenure in government I developed a modest legal practice & a consulting firm. I have served as counsel to numerous small businesses, individuals, candidates, organizations & campaigns. I have had success & successful clients at the local, state & national level. I have excelled in campaign organization & both political & charitable fundraising. I currently am working as a sole-practitioner with a general civil law practice focusing on: Estate & Life Planning, Governmental Relations, Contract Negotiations, Political and Organizational Consulting, Real Estate Law, Juvenile and Family Law. I have served on numerous decision-making bodies in which I was required to preside over the hearings. I have an exceptional grasp of parliamentary procedure & have served most organizations to which I’ve belonged as either Chairman or Parliamentarian. I have organized, directed and presided over national, state and local conferences & conventions. I have traveled extensively and have considerable experience in political organization and intra and inter-governmental relations and negotiations and have been a leader in implementing numerous projects and programs at every level. I have participated in numerous statewide seminars as a lecturer and have been at the forefront of many challenging legal issues. I have appeared before the Supreme Court of Ohio and the Ohio Board of Tax appeals.
