• Patrol assigned track sections so that damaged and broken track could be located and reported.• Responsible for installation of third rail brackets, protective cover, and bounding of wires.• Operate saw and oxyacetylene torch to cut rails and connect power cables to energize the third rail.

• Responsible to maintain the train tracks and restoring them into good working conditions etc.• Responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining, and inspecting all portions of the track, including rail, ties, switches, and insulated joints.• Responsible for duties include surfacing track by hand and with power tools; picking, loading, and unloading materials and debris along the right-of-way and in the yards.
