Over the years I have held many different positions at a wide range of companies. While I realize some work experience may be considered more relevant than others, I find that each time I am employed, I am afforded the opportunity to learn something new. I consider myself to be fairly well rounded. This is in large part due to my time at Massachusetts Maritime. Discipline and honesty were highly valued qualities at the Academy, as well as a respect for the chain of command, and understanding the specifics of your responsibilities.Working as a laborer has taught me that sometimes there is no substitute for elbow grease. On occasion, putting your head down and embracing the monotony of a task is simply what it is going to take to accomplish a goal.The positions I have held that required customer service have taught me many lessons as well. One of these lessons, and perhaps the one I consider most important, is that just being polite goes a long way towards creating an environment where people can work together.
