Analyst for the Facilities Management Department for Johnson County Government. The Facilities Management Department is responsible for managing all county properties including maintenance, groundskeeping, custodial services, utilities management, and planning, design, and construction of for current and new buildings. In addition the department manages all county fleet vehicles and operates the county courier and print shop.As the Analyst, I'm responsible for the creation and reporting of department balanced scorecard measures, and providing data analytics for various department datasources including: Archibus, VFA, Dossier, Wasp Inventory Control, Wasp Mobile Asset, Oracle, AIMS, Printers Plan, LimeSurvey, EnergyCap, and Talisen Technologies. Microsoft Office, ClearPoint Strategy, and Tableau are the primary software used for analysis. Additional responsibilities include project management, administration of Wasp Inventory Control for warehouse and fulfillment operations, creation and maintenance of SharePoint sites, financial activities supporting capital replacement projects, process mapping and writing SOP's and work instructions, and estimating costs/expenses for future building projects.

Reporting to the Director of Facilities Management, responsible for supporting county initiatives, projects, SOPs, performance measures and reporting in the areas of building maintenance and custodial services, fleet management, grounds keeping, energy programs, printing services, warehousing, and PDC (planning, design, and construction). Information and process management systems utilized include Oracle, Archibus, Dossier, and Energy Cap.The Facilities Management department maintains more than 50 buildings in the county with more than 2 million square feet of interior space supporting correctional facilities, county court house, administration buildings, health and family service and mental health facilities, a crime lab, communications, public works, fleet maintenance, medical ambulance transport locations, museums, a warehouse and printing facility, department of motor vehicles, and others.Our department is currently working on finishing the new Arts & Heritage Museum in Overland Park, which will be opening to the public this Spring and will be designing and constructing the new courthouse and coroners facility in Olathe.

Director responsible for headquarters building, catalog/internet direct to consumer order fulfillment operations and all inbound/outbound transportation and returns processing.Key achievements: Brought in UPS and set up competitive bidding on our business which resulted in significant freight savings in excess of $250K, improved average service levels by a day, and secured UPS funding to install a Connect Ship license based rate shopping system, which further improved savings by an additional 15%. Engineered a new pack station layout with new, ergonomic packing stations, new void pillows and fast wrap quilted material machines, and 100 feet of conveyor to improve packing performance by 15% and improve shipping performance with a 1 year payback on the conveyor. Created and implemented a productivity and accuracy tracking system for Picking/Packing to drive productivity gains and accuracy improvements with daily reporting of staff performance and continuous feedback. Added company Logo, web site and phone information to all of the shipping cartons by working with various box suppliers and without adding any additional cost to our supplies. Completed a project to clean up all of the storage rack locations and insure all inventory was organized and accessible for replenishment purposes. Doubled the available primary pick bins in the small goods warehouse by reconfiguring flow rack. Improved fire safety in the building which completed the last Fire Marshal walk through with zero issues found.

Manage the cold storage and Refridgerated and Frozen transportation of manufactured packaged meats

Manage Receiving Inbound and Outbound operations reporting the the Distribution Center Manager.Key activities include:- Labor Planning using a forecast of the daily expected picking line volume- Developing staff that were newly hired, brought in from temp agencies, or transferred from Ash City.- Developing Processes and Procedures for handling new activities to alphabroder including export orders to Puerto Rico and Canada as well as other counties, handling customized customer packaging and labeling programs, fulfillment of orders to be decorated internally, handling of vendor carton pack quantity between the system expectation and the physical goods, and educating pickers on the differences between Ash City private label items and purchased resale goods.- Obtained packaging supply bids from previous Ash City suppliers to find 20% savings on items such as corrugated shipping cartons.- Worked with supervisor team on training to maintain and update employee Paycom system to accurately track labor by department as well as overall pay time and also in monitoring the accuracy of imported volume data by employee to insure accurate measurements could be given out daily to identify and work with employees not meeting performance goals.- Created project teams to evaluate picking locations for improvements/clean up to assist with issues caused by switching from pick bin boxes at Ash City to picking from vendor boxes at alphabroder.- Created customized reporting to identify items with too many bulk storage locations to be consolidated to minimize labor associated to inventory control counting by SKU taking too long as well as to reduce picking/replenishment times.

Formerly Ash City USA / now alphabroder - Manage multi-shift distribution operation supplying customers with an assortment of garments, hats, luggage, and other accessories throughout the U.S. and to other countries as required. Operational functions include: Import container receiving, QC inspection, customer returns processing, bulk carton picking and replenishment, multi-level piece picking utilizing "pick and pass" order hand off method with plastic totes conveyed to packing and shipping department, TMS freighting of UPS and FedEx parcel shipments, LTL, and limited full truckload shipments.Key responsibilities are:- Optimizing staffing levels and productivity by department to meet goals and minimize cost.- Insuring 100% same day shipping of orders targets are met- Insuring order accuracy rates of 99.5% or better- Inventory Accuracy of 99.9% or better- Compliance to all OSHA and Fire Protection safety standards- Negotiating with Freight and Supply vendors to minimize pricing and maintain quality and service.- Analyzing warehouse sales/usage data to set up location profiling for improved productivity.- Created a customized Replenishment Report using Access database to speed up replenishment processes by taking manual calculations out & ordering by pick route.- Developing Supervisor and Lead Staff members- Putting together Projects and ROI for improved operations. Consulting and Project Management for several key Fujifilm initiatives.1) Setting up small warehousing operations in Mexico City with privately owned company doing business for Fujifilm Japan in Mexico to act as a 3PL for expanding local, same day service in the area. Existing service was previously only performed out of Guadalajara.2) Evaluating ideal branch locations for the Northeast and Southeast regions as well as cooperation opportunities with Fujifilm Graphics, Fujifilm USA, and Fujifilm holdings. Continued projects started as Logistics manager to complete Edison, NJ consolidation to a Fujifilm facility with a 3PL operation inside and to a manufacturing location in North Carolina to continue operations from an Atlanta facility that was relocated.3) Selecting and implementing a TMS system in close coordination with 3PL providers, the IT department, and LTL carriers, as well as software companies and resellers. Project is expected to automate current manual processes and save on freight costs.4) Packaging damage an design of packaging to avoid damages.5) Vendor Managed Inventory processes and optimization of consignment inventory - Assisted in rolling this out to key customer accounts in the U.S. and Canada allowing customers to use a supplied scan gun to scan printing ink that they consume for us to monitor usage and auto order replenishment printing ink for them.

Director level management position responsible for customer service, inventory control and planning, freight and transportation and warehouse operations in the US, Canada, and Mexico. Several facilities also performed custom color match and ink blending services. Facilities included a main national distribution center, 6 branch facilities in the US, one in Canada, and one in Mexico.Key areas of focus and responsibility included:1) Given a $1 million budget, create an ink distribution and raw material storage layout in a newly leased 35,000 square foot facility to accommodate flammable liquid storage materials (Class I, II, and III) for efficient and organized processing/handling. This project included working with Fire safety engineers and with city leadership/inspectors as well as construction contractors for electrical, plumbing, office construction, dock plate, concrete companies, building ownership to approve modifications, storage rack suppliers and installation and maintaining project information and progress to release funds for payment, keep Fujifilm-Sericol leadership informed. Result was the project finished on time and with modifications along the way, on budget.2) Second focus was to reduce freight costs and hold freight increases at bay. This was done working with our LTL carriers to bring in new carriers and put pressure on existing carriers to match rates/reduce pricing.3) Reduce packaging supply costs, this was done by bringing in multiple packaging suppliers and negotiating on price to leverage competition in the market to reduce costs.4) Worked with Fujifilm and Fuji Graphics divisions in the US and Canada eliminate independent building expenses by consolidating U.S. operations and Canada operations into existing Fujifilm locations with continued support of color matching and mixing services.

Started as an Inventory Control Supervisor and worked my way up to Project Engineer with a year as a Buyer for electronic repair parts.As a Sony 6-Sigma Black Belt, I mentored a team of 7 Green Belts in a Matrix Organization with cross-functional oversight in warehouse operations, customer service, import/export, inventory planning & procurement and repair service & warranty.Acted as an analyst with regard to freight modeling and freight provider negotiations and mastered the tools of Microsoft Access database and Excel spreadsheets. Also purchased and learned to use ArcView geographical data software.Key accomplishments included automating warehouse productivity data gathering, redesigning the cycle count process and obtaining IT resources to bring scan gun directed cycle counting as well as scan gun directed picking processes to the facility.Many personal projects saved hundreds of thousands of dollars in freight expenses as well as in rework due to picking errors. Key responsibilities were maintaining a work balance for flow, tracking employee productivity, and regular employee evaluations and disciplinary action when needed. Improved team performance under my direction from 80% to 120% of Wal-Mart standard.• Manager - Staple Stock Receiving (Dec. 1995 – Aug. 1996) – Loveland, Colorado – Managed a department of one supervisor and 30 associates. Developed a spreadsheet for the General Manager to calculate staffing forecasting for every department in the facility. Also lead the way to a 20% gain in productivity through developing a team that can maintain flow and effectively work together.
