Part of the Sales organization as well.* Installed and optimized MapR cluster software on premise to create petabyte sized data lakes for data analysis* Using 10’s to 100’s of servers in production environments, the MapR clusters provided a new repository for semi-structure data ingest and ETL processes.* As a Solution Architect in the Sales organization, presented solution proposals and POCs to prospective customers.* Created a time saving cluster validation tool used by entire Professional Services group in all customer installations

Worked in the new UCS server division of Cisco to bootstrap the HPC technical marketing.* Defined a new HPC solution using UCS Xeon servers and 10GbE fabric as an alternative to InfiniBand. * Built HPC clusters using the design and then tuned the clusters using industry standard benchmarks to match the performance of competitive products. * Able to demonstrate equivalent performance at lower cost which enabled Cisco to expand into the HPC market. * Worked with key HPC ISVs such as Ansys, LSTC and Schlumberger, to write joint benchmark white papers. * The white papers were essential to the promotion of the new HPC solution in the market. The published results were an industry first for 10GbE.

Member of the CX1 and CX10 Sales and Marketing team* Pre-sales engineer promoting a new deskside HPC system from Cray, the CX1. Provided technical expertise on sales presentations in person and on the phone. * Areas of expertise ranged from CPU and RAM performance recommendations to MPI and Cluster management explanations. * Additional tasks included ICR certification of the CX1, tuning, running and publishing benchmarks with LS-Dyna, Fluent and Star CCM+, preparing CX1 demos for the launch at SC08 and again for SC09. * Provided on-site integration of the CX1 to various customers including General Atomics, Bechtel and Boeing. Began working on a rack based IB cluster follow-on product using Platform PCM.
