At Verily, I became a conduit between MedTech and the exploding Digital Health scene. I guided business strategies and development of digital health, wellness, and disease management solutions in Verily focus areas (e.g., diabetes, mental health, sleep). I also inspired a new strategic vision by introducing best practices from MedTech into Big Tech, but in a very lean fashion.Stepping into a newly created role as Head of HEOR, Real-World Value, Biometrics, and Market Access, I led health economics, outcomes research, market access, clinical biometrics, and epidemiology functions supporting projects across the Verily portfolio.I oversaw the design and launch of highly novel features for the launch of a landmark, 4-year, precision medicine study, the Project Baseline Health Study, in partnership with Duke University School of Medicine and Stanford Medicine, with the goal of mapping human health and expediting evidence generation through clinical trial innovation. This precision medicine study involved 10,000 participants who were enrolled and contributed data via smartphone-based ePROs using a BYOD approach and FHIR-based APIs that enabled participants to share EHR and claims data with study researchers, and researchers to return health results to participants during the study. These became key features of the Verily Clinical Study Platform. This led to the design and launch of multiple additional studies with academic research partners and major life sciences companies.During this time, I was also extensively involved in our new business development efforts, working closely with leadership and the New Business Development team to plan and build digital health NewCos and joint ventures with strategic partners.

In 2010, I was appointed into a newly created role to build a global world-class HEOR capability.As Vice President of Global HEOR, I developed and led the health economics, outcomes research, real-world data analytics, market access, and reimbursement functions for a globally diversified $20B+ healthcare company supporting coronary, endovascular, structural heart, and electrophysiology businesses. I concurrently served on the Executive Steering Committees for Global Clinical Research and Market Development.
