I am a Principal Project Manager at Surrey County Council, where I oversee the delivery of SEND/AP capital projects for several special schools and facilities across the county. I focus on the RIBA Stage 0, Strategic Definition, options appraisals, feasibility and pre-construction phases of projects, following through RIBA Stages 2-6, but wholly familar with the operational and construction delivery stages. I am also a Director at Premises Development Practice (PDP) Ltd, a consultancy that provides commercial and public sector clients with a range of property services, from asset management to renewables. I have over 30 years of experience in the property industry, and I am a Surveyor with a strong background in building surveying, building pathology, and facilities management.My mission is to help clients achieve their strategic goals and optimise their property assets, by providing them with high-quality, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions. I have successfully managed and delivered multiple property projects for large County Councils, Unitary Authorities, and a central government department with a focus on education facilities. Some of my achievements include leading the commissioning and construction of three primary schools with a capital value exceeding over £20M, expanding several schools to meet the growing demand, and conducting condition surveys and feasibility studies for various properties. I undertook a Strategic Educational Sites Masterplan for a London Borough to manage opportunties for falling rolls in schools post-Covid and Brexit recently. I'm conversant and fluenty collaborate with various stakeholders, including education colleagues, place planners, architects, engineers, planners, and school personnel, to ensure the smooth and timely completion of the projects. I am passionate about creating and maintaining safe, functional, and attractive learning environments for students and staff.
