I consider myself a leading authority on data strategy, data governance and data quality management, enterprise modelling and information architecture, data modelling, data integration, master data management, enterprise and (Virtual) data warehousing, data analytics and ‘big data’, and Data Mesh design using the Zetaris Networked Data Platform.I have led client engagement teams on large transformation programs for some of Australia’s largest organisations. I combine vast client experience with industry leading skills in consulting, technology and strategic IT and data advisory services. I have a proven ability to deliver innovative solutions to enable business to become and remain high-performing organisations. In particular, I have a specialist understanding of the technology, utilities, energy, financial services, health and health research, media and telecommunications, manufacturing and retail sectors, as well as other industries. I have worked with senior managers and executives at Australia’s leading organisations, with a focus on adding business value in developing solutions that maximise reuse based on data sharing principles. I am quickly able to obtain an in-depth understanding of new industries based on my strong consulting, communications and analytical capability, supplemented with my experience in developing business blueprints (enterprise models) in more than 14 industries.I have been providing consultancy and advisory services to senior executives on data strategy, data governance and data quality management, architecture, particularly in relation to ‘big data’ strategies, from concept to execution. I have an excellent ability to communicate complex IT and data issues with senior business managers using clear and concise language.I gained my PhD in information management, data warehousing and data analytics. In addition to my years of industry experience, I have presented papers, e.g., “Improving Agile Effectiveness Using an Enterprise Model” and “Agile Business Self-service with Automated Data Engineering”, and delivered keynote addresses on data strategy, information architecture, data warehousing, data governance, data quality and ‘big data’ at renowned industry conferences.I am currently the Chief Data Officer (CDO) at Zetaris Pty Ltd, which is a data management, analytics software company with deep expertise in data analytics, information management, Virtual data warehousing and new ‘big data’ technologies. In this role, I run the data strategy, data management and data science practice in Australia supporting Zetaris’ clients.
