Part of the Data team that are using GIS tools such as QGIS, FME, Python and PostgreSQL to transform data from the legacy business systems to the new business solutions. As part of the team I have played a role in designing the solution, developing the code and then creating the CI pipeline for it to get from development to live environments. Personally, this has been a great learning curve and allowed me to work with other talented individuals and business stakeholders.This is an exciting digital transformation project to be part of and we are driving how GIS can be incorporated with more traditional software engineering procedures such as Continuous Integration.

As part of the Delivery Team for RPA and DEFRA, I liaised with key stakeholders and other program suppliers to ensure key deliverable objectives were achieved. This was demonstrated by our ability to deliver the solution to maintain legacy systems critical to the business while the long term replacements were delivered. During this project I also delivered a solution for a key business process using SQL and JMETER scripts to perform a key business functions with a comprehensive audit process to maintain data integrity.— — — — — — — — — — — —— — — — — —— — — — — —The GIS solution being delivered by SopraSteria will be a key business system for DARD in delivering upon these objectives, in particular the greater accuracy of land management through an enhanced Land Parcel Identification System (LPIS), increased payment accuracy of EU Grants & Subsidies under the current Common Agricultural Policy and 2013 reforms whilst at the same time simplifying the application process and enhancing the online experience for the agricultural community in Northern Ireland.

At Island GIS we utilise advanced mapping technologies to enable the collation, visualisation and analysis of spatial data that facilities intelligent and informed decision making. We support and ensure corporate excellence and transparency across project management workflows.I was responsible for collecting data from EDF power stations and cleaning that data within ArcGIS to create a dataset that would be incorporated in a unique alarm system.
